Crafting Panasonic’s leadership programme kick-off into an engaging, multi-workshop experience for emerging North America leaders

Context & challenges

Panasonic Corporation of North America sought a fresh, innovative approach to launch their 2025 leadership development programme. With first-time managers, mid-level directors, and senior leaders gathering in person, they sought an energizing, non-traditional, and visually brilliant kick-off to set the tone for a year-long learning journey.

After understanding their vision, we quickly recognized that a standard workshop wouldn’t cut it for these engaged, curious, and innovative leaders. They required a creatively designed experience that connected them more deeply to the mission of their leadership learning journey—including structure, corporate strategy, and values—while infusing fun and interactivity.

Solution

Under a tight deadline of less than a month, we custom designed and delivered two high-impact, yet very different workshops that catered to the needs of leaders in each leadership tier.

The first session, “Leadership Legacy”, helped leaders craft their personal brand, get intentional with working relationships, and define their vision.

In the second session, “Stimulating Growth Through Uncertainty”, a self-organized team activity challenged participants to learn a new skill (such as knot-tying or cup stacking) with limited information. Then the twist. Halfway through the session, teams were instructed to approach another team to learn their new-found skill. Our design seamlessly integrated key programme elements with interactive, visually impactful content, ensuring a compelling and energizing experience for every leader — no matter their level.

Results

The programme kick-off exceeded expectations, igniting enthusiasm among leaders from all tiers.

The event set a fresh tone for the year-long development journey, breaking away from traditional workshops with its creative, engaging format.

Participants praised the confidence-instilling kick-off, and the client reflected that what the participants said they took from the event were the exact things they aspired to instil.
